Excessive engine vibration causes damage and reduces the vehicles service life…this is where the crankshaft damper’s job starts! The function of the pulley is to absorb and dampen the torsional vibrations from the crankshaft, which then filters the low frequency vibrations produced in particular by diesel engines, This enables a very long life span of the auxiliary system and timing system.- Avoid premature failure of the auxiliary and timing systems by replacing the crankshaft damper puley.
- Following OE specifications, all Cranktechnic crankshaft damper pulleys include a layer of rubber to filter engine vibrations.
